Our Story
Meet the Sutcliffe Family! It all began with Tyler & Ashley meeting through their love of livestock. Tyler was born and raised in Janetville and Ashley in Keene, ON. They now have two children Anna & Tyson. They both come from multigenerational family farms with 4+ generations of cattle background. Their completely off the grid farm is located between the communities of Pontypool & Millbrook just off HWY 115. Charolais & Simmental cattle are the primary breeds within their herd. Over The Top Cattle Company is your local farm-direct source of natural, pasture raised, premium beef that is free from additives, synthetic hormones and antibiotics. Their cattle are never fed a heavy corn diet and remain on pasture and grass forages as their primary feed sources.
Our Products
As a consumer you have the option of purchasing a few steaks for a weekend getaway with their wide range of individual wrapped cuts or getting stocked up by purchasing a 1/4 beef or 1/2 beef. Over The Top beef is government inspected and processed at a local butcher here in the Kawartha's.
Where and how you can purchase our products
Visit our store Thursday - Friday 11am - 6pm & Saturdays 10am - 2pm. For local deliveries we deliver most evenings 5:30-7:30pm.
Our Philosophy
Here at Over The Top Cattle Co. we love three things; family, food, and ranching. We strive to provide our families, and yours, with food raised the way our great-great-grandparents did when they started our family's first cattle ranches more than 150 years ago. This means we treat the land, and our cattle with the respect they deserve. Our cattle are raised regeneratively in pastures where they graze on natural, gmo-free, native grasses, and are produced free from antibiotics and artificial growth hormones. All products are aged 14 days, flash frozen to preserve maximum freshness, and vacuum sealed in convenient packaging. Our 100 acre ranch is powered entirely by solar and wind, and we continually look for ways to reduce our impact and be resourceful with our energy usage. We feel a deep sense of gratitude for the privilege of providing hard working Canadian families with exceptional quality beef products.
