Our Story

We are a family farm working hard and year-round to provide top quality beef, pork and poultry products to our customers. We also grow a wonderful variety of seasonal vegetables in our greenhouse and gardens. We are a two-generation farming family and are looking down the road to what we hope will be a third. Together, we work with great devotion and passion maintaining and harvesting our fields, crops and livestock.

Our Products

We offer a wide range of fresh, delicious vegetables, meats, and pre-made products. This is just a sampling of what you’ll find! Green beans, zucchini, lettuces, rhubarb and kohlrabi. Cucumbers and their companion nasturtium flowers that are edible and discourage beetles. Ground beef, whole free-range chickens and eggs. Steaks, sausages, and pork chops. Peppers and spring peas. Peas, garlic scapes, kale, Swiss chard, and strawberries. Pink corn, butternut squash, blue potatoes, and garlic scape pesto with pine nuts. We hope we’ve whetted your appetite!

Where and how you can purchase our products

We are located at 688 Country Lane just north of Cameron off Highway 35. We sell at local farmers markets throughout the region. Our farm is open to the public, but remember we are a working farm with seasonal schedules so be sure and call ahead to check our hours and what we are currently selling. You can reach us at 705-886-0094. You can also see plenty of colourful photos and find more information on our Facebook page.

Our History

We’ve been farming organically in the Kawartha area since we purchased our farm in 1994. It had been owned by a family for years who produced livestock and vegetables using conventional farming practices of the time. The farm had been idle for a couple of years when we took it over and that gave us a fresh start to convert it to a fully-certified organic operation. Back then, organic farming was quite new and so we were breaking new ground and were passionate about informing our new customers about the value and the goodness of what we were producing.

Our Philosophy

We are certified by ProCert, North America's leading certifier of organic, gluten-free and grass-fed products. We believe in sustainable farming, and practice free-range poultry, pastured pork and beef. Our beef is pasture raised and finished on fresh sprouted organic Barley and Peas grown right here on our farm. We help our natural ecosystem thrive not only by our organic methods, but by using cedar rail fences alongside native trees, shrubs and flowers.

What Makes Us Unique

We are really devoted to our consumers and helping them understand the benefits of organic farming to the land and to their well-being. We love to share what we see as the greater good when it comes to the ecology of the land and the wholesome foods rooted in it. We are also the local organic table at regional markets. When you drop by, you’ll know our greens, for example, are picked, washed and packaged just up the road. That’s as fresh as you can get.

Experiences We Offer

We have seasonal tours and are excited to talk about our farming methods anytime. Tours must be booked in advance. We think it’s a great story and we are passionate about sharing it with you. Guests are welcome to walk amongst the cows in the pasture, the poultry in the yard and see the happy pigs rooting about in their pen. It’s a great way to connect the consumer to the farmer. We’d love to welcome you for a visit!
