Brett “Braja” Cole is a Chartered Herbalist (over 20 years) and professional beekeeper (over 16 years as of 2021). Our permaculture operation maintains 100 colonies of bees in yards throughout the Kawarthas. *Natural , unpasteurized Wildflower is the name of our game. Come sample the varieties depending on the season…basswood-blueweed; thistle; clover; goldenrod and asters are just a few. Along with creamed, chunk honey and honeycomb. We also are passionate about blueberry and buckwheat (check for availability). We work hard to maintain a steady supply of both frozen or dehydrated bee pollen, pollen extract and propolis tincture (we even supply wholesale in 500ml to 1 gallon via clinics and other beekeepers). Beeswax candles, herbal salves and select dried herbs (rosemary, mint, parsley, oregano etc.). Those familiar with herbal tinctures (alcohol-based extracts) should inquire about our apothecary as we have been supplying ND’s and clinics for quite some time now. Nearly 200 tinctures (many plants grown on-site, wildcrafted or ethically sourced from around the globe). Fully licensed and insured. Tours welcome by appointment. Thank you for choosing our honey house!
*Natural. Ask us how we deal with diseases, feed bees using essential oils and mushrooms, work with mulch and address crop pests…etc. Chemical is a dirty word around here! Let’s protect Mother Gaia together.

Seasonal Hours

Call for tours. There is a self-serve window with cash drop beside the Honey House door (contact if you need a special item left there, otherwise find small sizes of seasonal honey and herbs) . I am a lone "bee-bear" and may be out wild harvesting or at another "out-yard" tending bees…or hiding out with my Queen Bee taking a break, so bee patient please. Open all year. Sunday is a rest day but can be flexible by appointment.
