Fleetwood Hills Farm is a 298-acre family farm in the rolling hills around the hamlet of Fleetwood 20 minutes South of Lindsay. Our family has been farming for at least five generations. We specialize in producing maple syrup, honey, and garlic that is delicious by nature.
Stephen’s parents started making maple syrup in our sustainably managed sugar bush in the 1980’s and are well known in the area for “Moore’s Maple Syrup”. We produce maple syrup from 1,000 taps using a modern stainless-steel wood fired evaporator. Mom and Dad are still helping us continue that tradition.
Stephen spent several years working off the farm and developed his passion for beekeeping during that time. He has been keeping honeybees for over 10 years starting with his first two hives while living in Oxford, England. We now have 47 hives that forage on local wildflowers producing pure, natural unpasteurized honey.
We grow about half an acre of garlic. We find people often want more once they have seen how much fresher and more flavorful it is than imported garlic. Our garlic is available seasonally. We harvest in late July. It is available for sale in mid-August and we are typically sold out by mid-September. We can start taking orders for garlic in July.
We entered our honey in the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair for the first time in 2020. Our honey won its category as did our maple butter. You can buy direct at the farm. Please call ahead to make sure we are in. Our website (www.fleetwoodhills.com) also has a list of retail outlets where you can find our products. We hope you enjoy our farm’s products as much we do.
