Brown’s Farms, founded in 1934, is a fourth generation family farm located in the rolling hills of the Oak Ridges Moraine in Pontypool, Ontario. Don and Mary Lou Brown continue to manage the 250+ acre farm operation with the support of Ryan and Kate (nee. Brown) Westcott and their children, Charlotte and Benjamin.

What began as a simple potato farm, has now expanded to include over 50 varieties of vegetables and 30 varieties of flowers. While potatoes continue to be one of our staples, we have also come to specialize in gladiolus, field and roma tomatoes, pickling cucumbers, and winter squash. Each year, we experiment with new crops and new varieties. These test plots bring new and exciting options to our customers. By continually testing and evaluating our varieties, we ensure our produce and flowers are the right balance of taste, texture and longevity. Brown’s Farm is focused on providing sustainably grown, fresh local produce and flowers to Durham Region, the City of the Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough County.
