Farmers’ Market Open Year-Round
Farmers’ market is open all year!
Attention Local Shoppers – Did you know that there is no off-season for some local farmers?
As dozens of farmers and vendors watch the weather for prime growing conditions, local foodies can still enjoy the bounty of the local region even during winter and early spring before most of the farmers’ markets open for the outdoor season.
Throughout the late fall, winter and early spring local farmers offer a wide selection of farm fresh winter vegetables and greens, beef, pork, lamb and poultry, eggs, honey, maple syrup, preserves, baked goods lotions, and handmade crafts.
Farmers’ Markets provide residents and visitors an opportunity to explore on foot downtown areas and experience the best of our rural charm. Developed by a number of dedicated individuals and local businesses, their main objective is to bring local food to local consumers. Locals and seasonal visitors alike attend the market to get their weekly ‘fix’ of locally grown and produced foods.
Farmers’ Markets open indoors during the winter:
Peterborough Farmers’ Market, Year Round, Saturday 7am to 1pm
Peterborough Regional Farmers’ Market, November to April, Saturday 8am to 1pm and Wednesday 9am to 1pm
