We are a verified Farmers’ Market with local food you can trust where you can buy directly from the farmer who grew it, raised it, harvested, or foraged it!

Sixty percent of our vendors are primary producers who have gone through a third party inspection process to verify they grow 100% of what they sell. The remaining forty percent include bakers, prepared food vendors, artists and community groups.

Enjoy a festive market atmosphere with Peterborough’s finest prepared food vendors, artisans and musicians. Peterborough Regional Farmers’ Market is now in the Quaker Foods City Square, formerly the Lewis Street Parking Lot at 216 with operations every Wednesday and Saturday May 1 to Oct. 30 from 8 am to 1 pm each day.

Our Story

We are a verified Farmers' Market. Local Food you can trust. Buy directly from the farmer who grew it, raised it, harvested, or foraged it! Sixty percent of our vendors are primary producers who have gone through a third party inspection process to verify they grow 100% of what they sell. The remaining forty percent include bakers, prepared food vendors, artists and community groups.

Where and how you can purchase our products

Our Philosophy

Our Mission Statement is: To provide a venue for local primary producers within the Peterborough region to sell their products. To maintain the integrity of the Peterborough Regional Farmers' Market as a true “farmers' market” by ensuring that the majority of vendors are local primary producers who sell what they grow or raise. To provide space for local community groups to promote their causes and programs. To strengthen the connections between local food, farmers, and the consumer through direct contact via market days and sales and education. To promote a festive and vibrant community experience by inviting local food vendors and artisans into the market to showcase the value added production of local food and artisanship of local craft makers within the region. To build relationships with the City, rural counties, and the community, and to promote the economic, social and cultural value of agriculture within the region.

What Makes Us Unique

Enjoy a festive market atmosphere with Peterborough's finest prepared food vendors, artisans and musicians.
