Peterborough Farmers’ Market
The Peterborough Farmers’ Market is one of the oldest markets in Ontario. We contribute to the sustainability of agriculture by enhancing access to fresh, local Ontario produce and goods, and by fostering a lively and diverse market that inspires relationships between farmers, entrepreneurs and the community.
Our vision is to be a prospering year-round marketplace destination that educates consumers and connects them with a network of new and generational food growers and producers.
We invite you to listen to the sounds of our local musicians while visiting our vendors outdoor market experience that take place in all kinds of weather, May 1 to October 31.
The market moves indoors to the heated Morrow Building November 1 to April 30 with over 60 vendors.
The establishment of a central market area for individual trade or sales has been a feature of societies all over the world for centuries. This trade has taken place in Peterborough for the past 195 years. We at the Peterborough Farmer’s Market are proud to be part of this popular phenomenon.
As producers of local food and crafts, we stress freshness, quality and value as we deal each and every week with our market patrons. Come and enjoy this traditional shopping experience although during the pandemic you will see some changes as directional signage, wearing masks and social distancing .
